R. Shyam – Violin

On 27th December 2014 (Saturday) at 7.15 PM; R. Shyam an wonderful budding violinist, no-doubt presented his yet another excellent solo-concert. He is a regular performer, his first concert was in 2006 in VDS and presently he is traveling all over India for the concert trips besides being his engineering studies. His musical knowledge is of high order now. He has been trained very well by his gurus Lalitha Raghavan and Sangita kalanidhi  M. Chandrasekar.

After some nice pidis in bilahari alapana he played the kriti dorakuna very well with fine kalpanaswarams. He played easily a rather rare raga lavangi. Kaapi was fine, thaanam had variety and the raga bedham he used was fine – it was his good imagination.

Mridangam by Akshayram and kanjeera by K.R. Sivaramakrishnan gave a very good support.
