Manasa Sriram – Bharatanatyam

On 25th September 2016 (Sunday) at 6.30 PM:  Manasa Sriram presented a fine bharathanatyam recital. An young dancer and dancing with keen interest, her passion for dance was evident. She is a disciple of guru Mahalakshmi Aswin, who trained her very well.

Alarippu was fine followed by a brisk jathiswaram that raises the tempo of the program. . Varnam;  she addressed the jathis as required and the abhinaya was apt. Kaanal vari in kadanakdoogalam was a mature musical and joyous and the interlude between mridangist and vilinst was very interesting. Sri Ramachandra was dealt with a different perspective and was neatly executed & explored her vathasalya bhava very well.

Vocal by Aarthi, Mridangam by Nagai Sriram and violin by M.S. Kannan – have rendered their fine support.

Dr. Eshwar Shrikumar a connoisseur of music and dance,  our chief guest for the programme who  blessed the young dancer Manasa.
