Alankritha Parthasarathy – Bharathanatayam
On 19th June 2016 (Sunday) at 6.30 PM; Alankritha Parthasarathy presented a very good performance of bharathanatayam at VDS. She is lean, tall & flexible – ideal for a dancer and a student of guru Vaidhehi Harish, who honed her very well.
Alankrithas brisk and precise movements & her invocation to the lord Maha ganapthim was apt in the pushpanjali. She was quite expressive in the shabdham. The naatikurinji varnam; answered the jathis very well, abhinaya was in sync with the flavor of the song. The orchestra enhanced the varnam. Om namo narayana was a musical & visual treat.
Mand thillana was soulful, graceful and very energetic.
Musical support Radha Badri (vocal), Nellai Kannan (Mridangam) and violin by Kalai Arasan– have rendered their fine support to the dancer.
Sri. Venkat Subramanian, Secy of Karthik Fine Arts and Dr. Sampathkumar of Chettinad Hospitals were present as chief guest for the programme blessed the dancer.
